I'm on the beach yesterday and I recognize this guy who is one of those allnight surf fishermen who will sit there dusk 'til dawn waiting for a striper.
This time he is carrying his chum bucket and not a fishing stick but a golf stick. He starts teeing up range balls from the bucket and whacking them into the ocean. He has a great swing and he's just crushing it. His ball starts out as a line drive and actually seems to gain altitude 75 yards out. Would give anything to drive a golf ball like that.
Anyway, I start BSing with the guy and he hands me the war club and I promptly hit a pair of grounders, one of which barely makes it to the drink. On my third swing I finally get off the tee but slice it halfway to Sea Isle.
Always a great day at the beach
