This was far and away Hinkie's best move to date.

Who's going to play the point?

I know they really don't care about getting points out of their PG with all of these low post players, but who? They all either suck or are injured. BTW, Staukus hasn't done sh*t in the NBA. You college guys are all high on him based on what you saw, but this guy is slow and these NBA dudes will eat him for breakfast.

You watched a lot of Sacramento Kings games, I'm sure. He was put in a horrible situation there and he finished the season strong. He might turn out to be a bust, but there is zero downside to this trade for the Sixers.

They also got a 1st rounder with this...outstanding move.

This was a good move. Its certainly a step in the right direction of getting talent on the perimeter. The draft makes more sense with this move in place. It is the type of creativity that a GM needs to display, at times, in order to build a franchise.

Obviously, there are still issues with working so many Centers into the lineup, and I still look at the drafting of Okafor as an excessive luxury for a team too bad to afford it. But, if Hinkie can dig a few more diamonds out of the rough in deals and trades the next two seasons theres a chance of this team turning things around.

There is a lot riding on this GM and his ability to find a star in the making.

one of the more lopsided trades I've ever seen. Zero downside, tons of upside. They need a PG still but who cares? They're clearly going in the right direction now, tons of picks in the years to come, cap space, etc. Can't wait to see these guys in action this year.

I don't know the NBA that well but it appears Sacramento wanted to dump the salaries and were willing to make what looks like a one-sided trade because it allowed them to do something with the cap space that was worth it to them.

If that's what Hinkie took advantage of, he still deserves credit for seeing the opportunity and taking it.

If his shooting stroke comes back he is a backup SG used for floor spacing. As a backup SG he should not have to spend as much time trying to guard elite SGs.

With all of the upcoming picks they should develop into a deep team. Nik should be able to stay fresh due to limited minutes.

You need shooters to protect your Bigs from double-teams.

I hope Stauskas can take all the foul shots for the team.

Excessive luxury??? You cant be serious. Sixers have not had a big man with serious post moves in decades. He was supposed to go one or two and he fell to the Sixers. They had to take him with or without Sauce Castillo. It was a must-pick at three. We dont know in Embiid is going to play...and this was the most talented guy in the draft, IMO. Towns might be bigger and stronger, but not more talented. Sauce will take some of the pressure off and open things up for Okofor.
