  • Honestly, I didn't think Bradford looked that great on Saturday

Just didn't seem super sharp to me. Overthrown balls. Got a lot of help with penalties on that drive.

I also didn't like the look on his face after the hit he took.

I guess he's still rusty. Hasn't had much game like action over the last year and a half.

Another concern is that if Kelly is going to run the read option (and I am pretty sure he is going to) you know other teams are going to try and do what Suggs did. On a lot of those plays like the one when Suggs hit Bradford low the Eagles leave a DE unblocked.

He was rusty, but he throws a nice ball. I think he is going to be just fine. As far as the look on his face, he got smashed man. He hadn't been hit like that in a long time. Hey, at least he didn't puke in the huddle!

      That's why there's camp and pre-season.

There's no question at all about Sam's arm. It's first class.

As for this "look" to which you refer; was it his pissed off look after Suggs cheap shouted his knees or after he got his bell rung on a very hard hit. Either way, Sam is just fine. Are you picking up on Maniac's absurd observation of deer in the headlights? That was just plain stupid?

He looked pretty ordinary to me.

Bigger concern is that Suggs may have given the rest of the league the blueprint on how to go after Bradford. It's going to be bad if the NFL isn't going to call stuff like that a penalty.

You thought he was great in that game?

              What did he REALLY do?

About the same as what EVERY starting QB does in pre season

That is, a little more than nothing. One series, one TD. Pretty acceptable by pre season standards.

It's certainly your right to be a pessimist here. I'm just going the other way.
I've watched Sam play for a shitty Rams team and he's really good. Watch, you'll see.

I suspect they will call it going forward. Pete Carroll piped up on it too because his qb runs the same risk. Regardless of whether or not it was a read option, I don't think you are allowed to go after a qb's knees like that. Taking a cheap shot at the qb's knees is always the blue print for ending their season. I guess you just have to hope that most players aren't as dirty as Suggs.

That won't happen. The way Blandino explained the rule is not going to fly. It doesn't matter if the QB has the ball or not. You can't hit the QB at or below the knees when he's in the pocket. This would open the door to every QB being hit in the knees every time he throws a PA pass.

Even if he's considered a "potential runner," you absolutely can't let guys go at or below the knees.

                            Too small of a sample....

For anybody outside of Eagles camp to make an informed opinion.

Hopefully,we will see some more this week to get a feel for this guys comeback in Chips system.

Either way, by the Gayte we should know what we have.
