  • Should Get The Word On Ben Simmons Soon

He's most likely done for the year. Not a surprise, but they should make the official announcement this AM.

A report came out last night that the CT scan didn't go as they had hoped. Simmons then posted this on Snapchat:

and then he followed it up by favoriting some ominous tweets:

If they're holding him out to tank or because his agent wants him to sit, that's one thing, but if he's struggling to recover 5 months after surgery on an injury that usually takes 10-12 weeks to recover from.....

I think they should have done a 'Tank' Top Giveaway Night this year.

Yeah what's up with all the injuries taking twice as long as expected to "heal." I think they are just a shady organization, which is unfortunate. Otherwise, the medical staff should probably be fired. Like all of them.

It's pretty evident that they are once again in full tank mode.

At this point I guess it doesn't matter, although it's kind of a slap to the fans who have been packing that arena despite a losing team. I just wish they weren't so shady about what they were doing. I also wish Bungle Colangelo had a clue.

Out for season. I guess Australian bones heal more slowly...

To be honest though, I still think we'll see Embiid and I'm pretty pumped to watch Saric and his continued maturation. Over his last 6 games he's at like 19ppg and his shooting % has risen as well.

That's without embiid in the middle.

I'm also going to look forward to seeing Justin Anderson. His shooting looks "meh" but players seem to improve under Brown. McConnell, Covington, Saric have all gotten better. Heck, Nerlens shot has improved and was becoming a pick and roll option and a good one at that.

To me, it's not like past "tanks" where there was nothing to watch. They still have some players that interest me.

Fucking Colangelo loves taking 15 minutes to answer a question to avoid taking more heated ones. I hate that fucker

I never thought there'd be a GM that I'd trust less with the future of one of my favorite teams than Roseman, but, here we are.

For sure. They'll still be fun to watch, especially if Embiid is playing.

Did anyone listen/watch the press conference? What was his excuse for a short-term injury lasting 9 months?

I wonder if the NBA will give us another #1 overall? Given that we had to give up on Hinkie, I hope Harris and Co were smart enough to demand two first overalls versus just one (Simmons).
