Baker's is very good, but expensive.

Best for the money: Evan Williams (black label)

I had some Pappy 15 year a few weeks ago. Honestly, I get why it's so freaking expensive, but I wouldn't want to drink it every day.

I dig Woodford Reserve Double Oak on the rocks. Also really like Four Roses Single Barrel.

Knob Creek is always a good go-to, but lately we've been hitting the Bulleit Bourbon with good results.

I "won" the right to buy a bottle of 12 yr old pappy which cost me about 100 dollars. That was worth the experience but paying 100-150 a glass is silly, it's not that good.

Woodford is delicious (even the non double oak) and four roses has turned the corner from cheap college swill to pretty good 20-25 dollar bottle of bourbon. My go to is Bulleit Rye for the price (25ish for a 5th). Old Weller Antique and Old Weller reserve are probably the best and cheapest pappy proxies but hard to find in this area.

Yep. But try the Four Roses single barrel. It's about $50 and its delicious.

Currently I'm interested in Kentucky Straight bourbon only. I'll expand on other stuff later. Since Baker's is really good neat and seems like a benchmark in taste for me, I would like to stay at $60 or less but I'm willing to go higher.

I concur with a lot of what has been said so far. Right now I'd like to grab more of the Buffalo Trace and Beam distillery products. Eagle Rare hasn't been mentioned and that's a great product around $35.

Right now I'll probably target Booker's and Blanton's (already had it but wouldn't mind grabbing a bottle).

I can't find Hancock President's Reserve, Stagg, W.L. Weller but I'm on the lookout.

Anyway, I'm interested to hear your recommendations even if they are pricey.

Eagle Rare is very good. Buffalo Trace is Mrs. Slizz's goto. I like it with ginger ale.

I'll just give you one to pass on: Angel's Envy. Tastes like a shitty manhattan.

Thanks. I had Angel's Envy in my hand and didn't buy it last week. If drinking something neat is the benchmark, don't buy Old Forester 1870.
