The kid (imo) is progressing well.

The coach, on the other hand, really sucks balls.

Hopefully Gomer is finally gone while Wentz is still alive.

Wentz certainly has more potential than Gomer. I'm just pissed at his mistakes today.

        But be honest I.E..........

Wouldn't you be making a few mistakes with 300 pound monsters in your face all day?

          Generally, Gomer's taking them nowhere

But today I agree with you. He tries to do too much and so makes mistakes. I haven't seen a take charge, crisply executed drive at the end of any games.

Now he wasn't helped today by a couple of drops early, and the Sproles TO was a killer. His OL gave him plenty of time.

But would it be impolite to ask Gomer to run the ball some more? With someone other than a guy who needs help to lift a six pack off the ground? Nothing against Sproles, but he isn't gonna hold up if they keep riding him.

Just get me a W against the Vagiants next Sunday and I'll be completely back on the Wentz wagon.

46 passing attempts and led the team in rushing

                Gomer is clearly the problem

There are mistakes and there are mistakes.

Your head has to not be in your ass at that point in the game.

But I agree with you on the person in whom I have more faith.

46 attempts, four scrambles, six sacks. He dropped back 56 fucking times.

                      That's a recipe for disaster.

Agree. But which running back would you be giving the ball to? Sproles can't have twenty carries a game.

I'd have committed to giving Smallwood 20 carries today. But I would have pounded the table for a running back in April before it came to this.

I guess you could try it but I don't see any talent there.

We're looking at the same thing. If he can flirt with a 4.0YPC like he did last year, you might have a passable ground game. At least give the defense some reason to believe you might run the football to keep the QB clean.

Clement or Bryon Marshall probably wouldn't be any different. Pick one of them, I don't care who at this point, and fucking commit. Let your o-line get after some people and see what happens.
