  • Either this trade is a major fucking steal

or Ajayi has something wrong with him.

I don't see how anyone gives up a 24-year-old starting NFL every down back for a 4, unless he's the nitwit de tutti asshats, or there's something flawed about the guy.

bad knees. who knows how long he'll last after 2018. plenty of good backs go in the 4th or later, so i don't think the dolphins got fleeced. but even if we only get two good years out of the guy, the trade could be worth it.

I get that ... but only a handful of those 4th round backs become 3-down starters and this guy supposedly is.

Whatever ... like someone wrote before, it keeps us from drafting some B, C, or J who'd rather sing Get Your Michael Phelps On or some shit than play football.

I never understand this. What does it accomplish to weaken your own team while claiming to send a message to your team that you want them to perform better?

All it shows me is that the HC lacks the ability to manage personalities.

the things i have read are that his knee(s) are iffy and that he has a shitty attitude.

I read that blount had a shitty attitude but so far he has been pretty solid.

I have no idea. I just hope it works out.

It cost a 4th rounder same as they paid for Pumphrey, so if it does not work not a big deal.

His attitude problem could come from the fact that they've got Jay Cutler or Matt Moore at QB. I cannot believe every one of their skill players are crap. Winning cures everything. I mean, Baltimore, with their limited offense right now put what--26 points on them and their defense shut them out?? (I think the Ravens returned 2 INTs for TDs).

My one concern is the amount of touches he's going to get. If he's one of those players that is looking to touch the ball a lot every game, this may not be the best place for him. We've seen games where they've practically ignored the running back position. Sure, if he's playing well, they should ride the hot hand but that's not a guarantee with this offense. If he's not a team player and is just interested in padding his stats (in order to get paid), it could get ugly. At the end of the day, for a fourth-rounder, it's worth the risk.

The team has gotten it done with the RBs we have now.....,make too much noise and he can be replaced as easily as he was acquired .

His current contract is easy to dismiss if he become too much of a distraction.

I agree with the concern but it’s low risk with potential high return IMO

Teams do dumb stuff all the time. Lesean McCoy for Kiko, cutting Desean. Even one yr of productivity from Ajayi is worth a 4th that would have been spent on a 160lb RB.

Nice to see the Iggles fleece someone else for a change, My brother was a season ticket Miami holder,,telling me he's an Eagles fan now,,,"You got our Best Player" on the phone yesterday. Also up until last week the guy lead the team in Receiving and Rushing yards. The risk reward is there!

at the end of the season Trade Jay for McCoy!

I was in an elevator with someone very high in the Bills organization and I asked him if they had to put the speakerphone on mute when Chip called with that deal so Chip wouldn't catch them laughing. The fellow chuckled. Said they were surprised.

Hopefully that's what it is and Ajayi runs in this scheme the way he likes to run ... but I don't know enough about whether the Eagles run the zone blocking that, according to PFT, he likes so he can get cutback lanes for long runs.

I just read on PFT that Gase was pissing on Ajayi after the last game for not taking the 5-6 yard gain that was there in the interest of trying to break a long one (which used to drive me nuts about McCoy early in his career ... dancing too much instead of hitting the hole).

If the guy is actually really good and Gase just wanted to make an example of him to send a message, the Eagles could be the beneficiary of that kind of thinking.

FYIW - they got Hugh Douglas from Parcells that way ... he bitched about the Jets changing their defense from at 4-3 to a 3-4 and Parcells sent him packing.
