  • Jason Tatum just hit a big bucket to force double OT

We passed on him, and gave up an additional #1, to pick a guy who's wearing VR goggles and learning how to shoot.

We would have been better off picking Okafor again and saving the pick....

You don't get to enjoy Markelle's success when he comes back strong and makes you eat crow. TTP

I will happily eat it if that occurs. Until then, this is a big mess.

Fortune favors the bold and Tatum is the definition of meh.

        Fultz's ceiling is James Harden

        Tatum's ceiling is Jeff Green

        Patience grasshopper.

HINDSIGHT IS A BEAUTIFUL THING. FULTZ, FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND, WHAT I'VE READ, PLAYED WELL IN NCAA, SHOOTING ALMOST 50%, HURT HIS SHOULDER, DEVELOPED A HITCH IN HIS SHOT HE CAN'T GET RID OF. MUSCLE MEMORY TAKES TIME TO GET RID OF.

He’s already better than Green, so how does that work?

Not Ready To Give Up On Fultz

I'm not going to write off Fultz as a bad pick. When Agholor was having similar problems I was not in favor of the Eagles giving up on him. He just finished having a great year and was an integral part of their Super Bowl win and I believe the best is yet to come for him.

Except in his rookie year he is shooting 5% BETTER than Green ever has from 3, and 5% better from the field then Green's career average. I hate his uniform...but comparing Tatum to Green is absurd. Tatum has enough potential to be an All star. He would've duplicated Robert Covington's strengths, but he also is a solid pick for Boston. We are very lucky that LA's pick is not likely to end up in that 2-5 spot.

Good point about LA. They look really good right now and actually need them to lose a few more down the stretch. A top 10 pick would be phenomenal.

Wouldn't Boston get Sacramento's 2019 pick then? That will almost certainly be top 5.

if they stay stagnant, very possibly. Their roster is pretty ripe for improvement though, especially if Harry Giles becomes the player he was projected to be as a top recruit. De'Aaron Fox, Harry Giles, Justin Jackson, Willy Cauley Stein, and Buddy Hield are all guys I could see improving significantly in the next year, along with whatever they add with their 1st round pick this year. Still likely they are a lottery team.

Now that he has one of these bad boys, Fultz's ceiling has holes in it.
