        Roob tweet:

According to the basketball-reference database -- which goes back to the 1963-64 season -- Markelle Fultz is the first NBA player on record with 10 points and eight assists in less than 14 minutes.

“We would have been better off picking Okafor again and saving the pick....”

He was always going to be fine.

A 3 seed sounds pretty nice right now...

Yep that's fine to repost. However, sitting back and saying "he'll be fine" is a little nuts too. It sure looked fucked up as hell to me...

He was the most talented player in the draft. He looked great in the Summer League.

It was a weird situation and the Sixers made it worse by being shady about everything but talent like that doesn’t just disappear.

The waiting sucked but patience has always been a part of The Process.

Rube and his bullshit statistics. Wonder who he pays for that? Guess it beats journalism.

Elias Sports Bureau probably - depending on the subscription, you can get any stat you want. Roob probably piggy-backs on the CSN Philly one.

Not a big hoops fan but caught some of the game last night and his quickness and drive through the lane is as good as any Sixer since AI

I don't think anyone was ripping him (did you see the way the crowd reacted to him last night?). People, myself included, have been ripping the Sixers for the weird, shady way they handled it, which gave us no reason to be optimistic. When you give out very little information and the information you do give out is vague and cryptic, fans are going to jump to conclusions.

Or you could be being abnormally vague to protect a 19 year old kid from a fan/media base that has been known to be less than understanding.

I've never ripped him, but I started wondering about his psyche from the start. Watch the draft again, and tell me how excited he looks when he's selected. Yeah, he went through the motions, putting on the cap and posing with The Alien...but he wasn't exactly beaming with joy.

From watching his shooting issues, it almost looked to me like he was intentionally screwing up his technique. I speculated that maybe he was dogging it in hopes of forcing the Sixers to consider trading him...and I'm wondering how much the Sixers could have truthfully said about the situation without throwing fuel on the fire.

From what I saw last night, maybe the culture of the locker room (and their winning streak) has brought him around, and now he's seeing a brighter future for himself.
