  • Take This To The Bank -- In The Belmont ...

Exaggerator will win. With a close like he had today, he'll win going away with another quarter mile to run.

I'll Do It For You, Regardless Of The Result

This horse reminds of a three-year old named High Echelon. In 1970 he ran the Derby exactly like Exaggerator -- a fast closing run down the stretch; in his case he finished third. I said that day High Echelon would win the Belmont and he did.

You won't have to remember this because I will no matter what happens. It's just that this finish brought back the memory, hence the prediction.

We expect you to put all of your mayo stock on him in the Belmont.

Haha. He could be right (if Gutierrez doesn't realize Belmont is a mile and a half). Of course, now it's certain not to happen.

Exaggerator has a better chance of winning Belmont than Nyquist. That horse's trainer is less popular in The state of NY than the Red Sox. Five years ago they holed his horse up in the Medical Barn until the trainer ran away disgraced with a weeks worth of unused milkshakes tucked under his horses bridle.

                    I Just Might Do That

Wait -- what am I saying??!! Take my money, my car -- but you will only get my mayo stock when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers!

Not sure I'd say he has a better shot but few would be surprised. I chuckled at his prediction because it's not exactly predicting Leicester to win the Premier League.

That was quite a race yesterday, a few more lengths and it would have been a loss.
