I know you aren't a NRA type. I found this interesting.

Also, guns set to surpass cars as a great cause of death?

I get that you can argue that people who commit suicide by gun are only hurting themselves... but on the other hand those are the exact people who I don't want having guns. They have nothing to lose in taking down other people along with them.

I heard the shooter died but it wasn't like they were trying to keep him alive anyway

I don't like pit bulls either. I am in favor of all aspects of reducing external risk to my life. If I choose to eat the wrong things and I die as a result that's on me.

If somebody else owns a gun, or a car, or a dog and it can kill me I want to have a way to ensure they are responsible.

Also the argument of arming everyone is not holding water, since we have more gun ownership and violence than any other country.

Despite the decline, the United States still has a higher rate of homicide than other developed countries, the study says. But America doesn't have a higher rate for all other crimes.

I am not a gun nut but I am a firm believer in the right to carry a weapon if its concealed and you have a license. Anyways, I saw a statistic today that 50% of the guns in the world that are registered are in America. Thats fucking bananaland. No way should it be that easy to get your hands on a gun. It should be a longer process. I have no idea on what should be proposed, but hopefully one of the losers in washington can figure it out.

I'm just not going to worry about something that happens so infrequently
