^^^With that lights out secondary they are going to smother every team's receivers and tight ends. Blanket coverage and picks galore.

A true run-stuffing MLB in Jon Beason who's a tremendous leader. A physical SAM linebacker in Jameel McClain. An athletic WILL in Jaquian Williams.

JPP coming back 100% healthy and in his contract year with a lot to prove.

Big John Hankins at the nose clogging up the run (basically Linval Joseph on steroids). Mike Patterson backing him up.

Cullen Jenkins the quick penetrating 3-technique DT

Robert Ayers a great run-stuffer at LDE who has improved his pass-rush.

Highly talented pass-rusher Damontre Moore in his 2nd year who should break out.

That's gonna be a dominant defense (Top 5 overall), and is far and away the best D in the division by a country mile.
Why even come here pretending to be an Eagles fan ? Did you think that you're the ONLY Vagiants fan that has ever come on and posted on this board ? Just come on, don't be a douchebag (if you can help yourself), and post your "Giants will have a top 5 defense" drivel. You take the shit and vitriol that you so richly deserve, and you'll either stay and deal with it, or you'll leave.

Will Hill, Antrel Rolle, and Stevie Brown aren't really much to worry about. DRC and Prince aren't either. Thurmond could very well struggle when he isn't in Seattle. The LBs suck, aside from Beason who rarely stays healthy. You have a lot of Eagles rejects in the middle of your line, and, although I like Ayers since he's a Vol, he is no difference maker. D is mediocre

        Haha

        How can "we?"

You actually tried to pose as an Eagle fan so you could convince everyone how good your team is going to be? What a fucking loser you are.

I'm not even going to bother with your bullshit hyping of bums like Stevie Brown. This is, hands down, one of the saddest things I've ever seen.

Stevie Brown was an All-Pro in 2012. 8 picks in limited starts. Ballhawk.

No he wasn't. I've actually watched every one of his interceptions and every single one was a fucking horrible pass. He made a name for himself picking off ducks and then he blew out his knee.

He also went through 3 teams before landing with the Giants, where he got to start because your team is notorious for losing players to IR before the season actually starts.

But, yeah, now you're going to start dick-waving about interceptions immediately after telling someone else that interceptions don't matter in Amukamara's case. Walter Thurmond is apparently an "elite SLOT corner" which is backed up by... nothing.

You're a fucking joke, dude. A sad motherfucker.

Injuries aren't why the Giants started 0-6 last year, Eli throwing over 20 INTs were the reason they finished 7-9, plus a leaky defense. Everyone is optimistic this time of year.

Will Hill - PFF's #2 overall safety in 2013 despite playing only 12 games

                Antrel Rolle - 2nd team All-Pro safety in 2013

                Stevie Brown - 8 interceptions in 2012

                DRC - Top 5 corner in 2013

                Prince - a true #1 corner

Giants defense was strong last year you idiot. 8th ranked in the league.

If their defense was bad they would have been 2-14 with how bad the offense was

Injuries were the only reason the Giants went 7-9 last year.

They were the most injured team of the last decade.

91 games missed by starters due to injury (next most was a distant 68)

According to Football Outsiders' Adjusted Games Lost (AGL) metric that calculates how teams are impacted by injuries, New York had the worst injury luck in the NFL last season. Their 144.6 AGL is the highest in the Football Outsiders' injury database, which goes back to the 2000 season.

The good news is teams that finished last in the league in AGL have on average ranked 17th in that metric the following season. If that holds to form, the Giants will not have to deal with anywhere near as many physical ailments as they did this past season, and they should see a bump in performance as a result.

Do you actually think that if you get hurt a lot one year, that automatically means you'll have an average amount of injuries the next? The Giants get hurt all the time. You need to accept that it will likely happen this year. You also need to look at the Vaggies objectively

and yet, Indy, New England, Green Bay, San Diego, New Orleans, Denver and San Fran all finished just behind the Vagiants. All of those teams made the playoffs in spite of injuries - go figure

Pro bowl alternate = All-Pro team?

Close enough. Vaggies also lost Justin Tuck, who had 11 sacks last year.

Giants were far and away the most injured team in football last year. It was not close at all. Those teams didn't finish "just behind". It was a distant behind.
