    Interesting... makes some sense

    I still would not expect him to contribute much this upcoming season. This was a future potential, not a win now pick. Maybe they will they take the same approach in upcoming rounds.

      Didn't expect them to take him in the 2nd but I love it. True shutdown corner.

      His agent said he'll be back this year for whatever that's worth...

                  Very optimistic, IMO.

                  Also do you want to risk rushing this player back into action? Maybe you evaluate things later. If he seems to be progressing you put him on the part year IR. If he is still having problems IR him for the rest of the season.
