see JuT's post where he nails it. jeffery isn't gonna get us a ring this year. no reason to give up a second round pick when we could potentially get him in FA. to me it would make more sense to give up a late round pick or a stiff i.e. agholor for torrey smith, who is good when he has a capable QB.

I agree, but giving up a 2nd for 10 weeks of Jeffrey and still having to pay him like an FA this offseason is nuts.

Just a thought on this. Perhaps they are waiting till after dallas. If the birds get steamed rolled by the cowpukes, which I hope not, but if they did then the thought would be, ok we are just a meh 500 team. but if they role all over the cowpukes, then they might be like, yep we are a competitive playoff team this year in the NFC, lets add to it. Make the trade on Monday or Tuesday last minute, Jeffrey comes in dresses for giants. but really plays in falcons. juts a thought.
