  • Mosher was on Sirius this morning

And said there's a sentiment between Jackson's family and friends that he is not 100% committed to football. He said that Jackson's mother is one of a few people who expressed this concern, but no one seemed to be getting through to him.

Mosher said Jackson's father was the one person who was able to send a message to him, but now that he's gone, Desean hasn't been willing to let anyone take over that role in his life.

Because Jackson is one of the longest tenured players on the team, Chip did not want this attitude rubbing off on the younger players, and the move was made.

Sounds like a concern that would have been more valid in 2011 or 2012. After this season I'd imagine that if DeSean were committed to football he'd put up Josh Gordon numbers.
