  • Pat Kirwan latest mock has Eagles getting Mariota.

Maybe there is something to it. If they can do it for a first rounder and Shady, why not?

    4. Philadelphia Eagles -- Oregon QB Marcus Mariota: The Eagles come up for Marcus Mariota and send their first-round pick this year and next year plus RB LeSean McCoy to the Raiders. McCoy has three years left on his contract and the Raiders have plenty of cap space to absorb the contract. If the Eagles have to throw in another player or later round pick to close the deal they should do it. Maybe they recoup some of the compensation by trading Nick Foles. Cleveland and the Jets should be interested in Foles.

That won't get it done. Not even close.

Veteran Running backs are one of the worst bargaining chips in your arsenal.

A trade from 20 to 4 would cost at a minimum 2 ones and 2 twos....probably quite a bit more actually.

6 picks total. Ain't nobody in this draft worth that. ESP with the age on OL, problems in D backfield, linebackers, DL depth.

This shit is just dumb. 2 more months of it!

Yeah, can't see the Raiders making that trade. Would be a great deal for the Eagles!

It would be if Mariota turns out to be a good pro. Otherwise it's a terrible deal. The crapshoot of the draft and unknown.

I would draft Mariota at 20

Maybe even move up a few spots. Everything else is just fluff. It's silly to sell the farm for anyone. And anyone who isn't a question mark (Andrew Luck comes to mind) is going to cost you EVEN more than 3 first round picks.

yeah...again, saying that they're giving up this year's first should be understood. a veteran RB who may not stay on the team and 2016's first for a chance to get a franchise QB? that's nothing. i would be fine if that happened but there's no way it would happen.

Nobody knows shit about what anybody is doing. Mock drafters, both professional ones like Kiper and amateurs like iowaigglefan, don't have a damn clue where anybody is going to go.

The Eagles picked Marcus Smith in the first round when most "experts" penciled him in as a second or later. Smith was drafted too high, but the experts made their whole mock draft with the thought process that nobody would take a guy like him when they did. One team (in this case, the Eagles) taking a guy when they shouldn't has ripple effects throughout the rest of the league.

Operating under the assumption that anyone outside of any organization's front office has the slightest clue what a team will do is just silly.

We can pinpoint positions or players that match up well with certain teams, but when organizations are falling in love with guys like Ponder and Manuel, there's no telling what will happen in each draft.

Edit to add: This was a general reply to the "will they trade for him or won't they" topic and not directed to slag, just hit the wrong reply button.

                  Fuck a Mariota

Trade up and take Trae Waynes

Exactly. Which is why it makes no sense for the Raiders.

No brainer for the Eagles. They'd have to make that deal if it was there. Can't possibly be.

I predict the Eagles will take a player from Oregon!

I stand corrected. The Eagles taking a Duck and the Pats taking a kid from Rutgers are the two you can set your watch to.

Chip wants a new quarterback. May not be Mariota but Foles isn't his guy.

2 Things there is no way Mariota is coming here, why would teams give you what you need or think you need to get to a Super Bowl. 2nd if they trade Shady who is the running back threat to make Mariota work ???
