Default Well I just got my playoff ticket refund check...

...for $30.

The check I wrote to them was for $630.

So THAT'S how they do it.

Sounds like somebody dropped a digit.

My refund was $11 lighter than my payment, but that was expected.

Default When the playoff ticket invoice arrived...

....I immediately wrote them a check. About a week later I received notice that I was "in default of my SBL (personal extortion licence). I called and gave them my check number and they said they never received the check that many of the deliveries had been delayed by the snow storm.

I was told to stop payment of the check (too late, although they said they had no record of getting it) and that I had to put the tickets on my credit card or I would be in default.

I put the tickets on the card and the week after the Eagles had their asses handed to them by Dallas, I received my worthless playoff tickets, including one for the NFC championship game with Donovan McNabb's picture on it via registered return receipt requested mail at a cost of $17.50 (roughly half the processing fee.)

Today I received my bank statement showing the check had indeed been cashed by the Eagles. My credit card bill showed that my credit card had been charged $630. In other words I paid out $1260 (more than the cost of an entire regular season ticket and the two bogus exhibition games.

When I explained the situation to the Eagles ticket rep today on the phone I was told my refund had been credited to my card account. (confirmed after hanging on the phone for a half hour on hold and talking with the credit card people)

Next, I called the Eagles back to request a new check for $600 and to let them know I was depositing the $30 check. To their credit, they did apologize and said I could expect the check to arrive "by the end of next week."

I asked for an email to confirm this in writing and I'm still waiting for that.

I do understand mistakes happen and they are not responsible for the snowstorm. The only thing that really ticks me off is that at the time of the original problem, I had spoken to a ticket rep who assured me my case had been documented and they would make sure I received both the refund to my card and to my bank account.

That was not the case.

Default They should just include the playoff ticket payment

in with your reg season ticket payment. Pay it way up front in the spring. Then, when they fall on their asses late in the year, you'll get an unexpected check in the mail. Kinda like a Christmas Club.
