  • sixers 'won' the draft last night

two potential lottery picks in 2014 is absolutely PHENOMENAL.

They put themselves in a position to seriously build for the future. HAVE to nail the picks though. It'll be boom or bust. The other good thing is they are freeing up cap space so if they have a good young nucleus they may be able to lure free agents.

Noel was a no brainer, even if he is hurt. kid is 1 year out of HS and should be a great defensive player for years. blocks, steals, etc. will get pushed around but will be able to make a difference inside and create problems for opposing shooters, no question.

MCW just needs a jumper. he's got everything else. was def Best player available and fell into their laps.

2 potential top 5 picks in 2014 is INSANE.

protected through 5 for NO? I might have misunderstood that.

            yes, 1-5 is protected.

still, sixers could get 1 or 2 for themselves and top 10 for New Orleans. the pelicans should be around that area as far as wins and losses. they'll probably be in the lottery but without a ton of balls in the lottery.

Rebuilding years aren't that bad when you're actually building something and not spinning your wheels. Looking forward to seeing the new kids play.

I was listening the Adam Schein on Sirius yesterday and he interviewed Boeheim ... who said he'd take Noel "in a heartbeat" with the first pick.

So the Sixers get him and then Carter-Williams.

i was clapping my hands like a little school girl when philly was on the clock at 11 and MCW was there. knew they'd take him.

can't wait ti see how they build this bad bitch from the ground up starting this year. 2014 draft should be a lot of fun for us.

                    I love all of this

It's called making a bold move to try to bring this team up to the elite level. Finally the fans have something to be excited about. CUSE!

Has anybody figured out the end result of the fluury of Rd. 2 trades we made last night?

This blurb from ESPN makes no sense:

"The 76ers took small forward Glen Rice Jr. with the 35th overall pick, then shipped his rights to the Washington Wizards for the 38th (Nate Wolters, South Dakota State point guard) and 54th (Arsalan Kazemi, Oregon forward) picks. The 76ers then traded Wolters to the Bucks for 43rd overall pick Ricky Ledo, who went to the Hawks before ultimately landing with the Mavericks, sources said. Dallas wil send Brooklyn's 2014 second-round pick, which was acquired in the earlier deal with Boston, to the Hawks."

We trade Wolters to Bucks for Ledo, who went to Hawks for WHAT?

Not sure. Thought we had Ledo.
