I didn't realize his parents had that kind of scratch, though.

Eddie V’s Restaurants Inc. has been sold to Darden Restaurants Inc.executives announced Wednesday.
Darden Restaurants Inc. (NYSE: DRI) is an Orlando, Fla.-based restaurant firm that owns a range of brands including Red Lobster, The Olive Garden, Longhorn Steakhouse, The Capital Grille, Bahama Breeze and Seasons 52.
The deal is valued at $59 million and includes the Scottsdale-based Eddie V’s Restaurants Inc. brands of Eddie V’s Prime Seafood and Wildfish Seafood Grille restaurants.

Eddie V’s founders Guy Villavaso and Larry Foles launched the business in Scottsdale in 2000 and will serve as consultants for the next two years as part of the agreement with Darden.
