Well Chip's not winning a Superbowl either so that's pretty irrelevant.

Personally, I don't care about Superbowls. Most people do and if you want to bash King Andy for not winning a SB that's fine by me. But that isn't what you guys have said. You have repeatedly, over the course of years now, said that King Andy is a bad coach. Not a good coach who doesn't have what it takes to get it done in the post season, not even a mediocre coach. A bad coach. Now you don't like being called on it just like you don't like being called on your blowing of you college hack and his bullshit gimmick offense so you are trying to push off the day of judgment.

Fine, next year is too soon, I think that is a bullshit excuse but I'll cut you a break. I will settle for a guarantee that King Andy will miss the playoffs for one of the next two seasons and that Chip will make the playoffs in one of them.


I will guarantee you that King Andy makes the playoffs both of the next two seasons, even if Alex Smith gets hurt and I will guarantee that Chip Kelly will miss the playoffs both of the next two seasons. But I won't hold you guys to the same standards of excellency that I set for myself.

Kelly had very few time management issues this year and that includes the playoff game. I am a big Reid supporter, and have taken flak over the years here because of it. However, the biggest thing that haunted him in Philly was his misuse of timeouts and his over reliance on the passing game. In the playoffs, he was at it again. He used 2 timeouts in the second half because they didn't get the plays in correctly, and then coming OUT of the 2 minute warning, he had to use his last time out. That's disgraceful. And he's in his 15th year of coaching.

And it's not like he had to rebuild KC--he had 6 Pro Bowlers on the defensive side, he had a very good RB, two more than servicable recievers, a decent offensive line.

Here, he did very much what Buddy Ryan did in his days--Ryan concentrated on defense, as long as Randall made 5 plays a game he thought they would win. Reid concentrated on offense, and let the defense waste away.

And, while Reid had lots of winning years, the fact is that I have been a football fan for 50 years now, and have always loved the Eagles, and Reid caused me to loose interest in Football and the Eagles last year. Yes, that's just me, but that's what Reid did to me, as a fan. Just too many disappointments, due somewhat to stubbornness (ie -too pass happy) and whatever else.
And - yes a Super Bowl win IS important to many of us, and we hope to see one while we are still around.
