Just read that Mike Schmidt won't be at Spring Training this year because of an undisclosed illness that requires him to be close to his doctors. I was never old enough to see him play but I hope whatever is ailing him isn't as serious as it sounds. One of the great Philly sports figures and am hoping for a speedy recovery!
