I think Rand Paul is basically a POS with good hair, but trying to pin plagiarism on his lawyer for basically doing a copycat lawsuit is kind of lame isn't it?

Lawyers copy forms all the time, and I know plaintiff's lawyers do the same in complaints.

Am I wrong or is this a nonstory?

That's silly. One of the first things I was told when I started practicing was to not reinvent the wheel if I didn't have to (granted that was meant to pertain to work product within the firm). Still, I guess the affirmative defenses section of every Answer I ever wrote or read also constituted plagiarism. Non-story.

My God, I could be accused of plagiarism every time I do a new NDA. Which reminds me of a story. My friend was a lawyer in Martin's Creek, PA. Small Italian community where everyone knows everyone. Anyway, he would do wills and trusts for folks, and he would meet with them, then just use his form to send out to them, along with a letter to contact him to come in and sign.

Well, he met with some woman, and he sent her the trust. She never calls him, so finally he calls her and asks her if there is any problem with the trust document.

"No," she says. "But does my neighbor Mary Lupicino have to be my trustee?"

I laugh every time.

I would think there are a whole lot more issues of corrupt morals in politics that they could have had an issue with other than plagiarism, I think the article is making a mountain out of a molehill.

BTW, what is your buddies name, I lived in Martins Creek for 8 years growing up, of course that was some time ago.

Yeah, doesn't ring a bell, I left Easton Area for good in 1992, you are right about the Creek though, nothing every changes there, still visit when I go back, also stop at Franklin Hill Winery, we are friends with the owners, great product.

I remember being about 13 years old and going to the dances at St Anthony's Church, coped my first "feel" there, thought I was in love, lol
