Dean, your fridge, a freezer, well pump, and dryer will draw the most amps, is your house electric heat? The above things are what you have to consider when sizing your generator. Lights don't really draw a whole lot of amps so I wouldn't consider those a big factor. 80 % is really the max load you want to put on a generator for it to run smoothly. Also keep it out of the garage when running stick it outside with a piece of plywood laid on top to protect it from the elements. A lot of carbon monoxide deaths every year with people thinking it's ok to run generators in the garage with the door open. Call an electrician to size out what you need for a generator.

I've had bad luck with Honda motors too

The f'ing carbs are sh*t. They can't take all of this bad gas we have down here. I use this Star Brite Startron stuff and that seems to help alot.

All we buy at work are Hondas. If you shut off the gas and let it run till it shuts off it will help. The carbs gum up quick with the new gas. If it's going to be sitting for a couple months drain all the gas before you store it. Or drain the gas before you start it either way.

Its the ethanol in the gas. It separates from the gas if it sits for too long and that is what it screwing up the carbs. Definitely put some methyl hydrate in the tank if its gonna sit for a while or drain the gas tank completely.
Canada is like a really nice apartment over a meth lab.
