  • How is the Dan Gilbert letter "breaking" news from Broussard?

This shit is getting ridiculous. any asshole can mention that letter and use it as a reason he hasn't signed. Perfect example: I mentioned it earlier this week and asked WTF would James even consider going back there after the letter Gilbert wrote and left on their website for four goddamned years and only took down last week.

How is that breaking news, exactly? These guys are clowns.

      we're talking about it

Im encouraged by the direction of the NBA right now. Its true there are a BUNCH of clowns involved, but anything that brings this league into the mainstream sports discussion is a good thing right now.

The Spurs championship was the best possible thing that could happen to the NBA. Teams are rediscovering team basketball and fundamentals. Makes the game more fun to watch, competitive and get more players into meaningful roles.

I hope LBJ comes back to Cleveland, and if he does will be determined by whatever is the best situation for him. James is worth far more to the team that signs him than the max $$$ he can get under his contract. Why wouldn't he look for other intangibles? And why wouldn't Cleveland management do what they can to facilitate the process? Yeah...it was petty, spiteful and self-serving to have that letter up there for so long. So what?

My breaking point was when Broussard got out the whiteboard to write percentages of how confident he was on where LeBron was going based on what his "sources" are saying. There was an actual segment on a multi-billion dollar media empire where Broussard, with marker on a whiteboard, wrote "Cleveland- 85, Miami-15, New York-0, Los Angeles-0"

I actually said "fuck off" when I saw it.

I saw this as well. The funny thing is, they showed another graph later in the evening that also included the Bulls. They had almost the complete opposite...Except Bulls, Clipps had like 9.2 %, etc -- hahahahahaaa, ridiculous!!

            If that letter

is the sole reason he hasn't come back, then he can just stay gone as far as I'm concerned

Part of me thinks his camp leaked this newest story after he decided on Miami so that when he announces he's going back to the Heat, Gilbert looks like the bad guy, not LBJ.
