Spoken like a true Cuse homer. Waiters is nothing special. He's a slightly better Evan Turner. There's nothing efficient about his game at all. He needs the ball too much to be even remotely successful and he shoots way too many midrange Js, a shot that Brown (and the whole NBA nowadays) hates. Oh, and, he's a headache.

A former #1 overall and another 1st round pick for Thad is fantastic value. Shit, just the 1st would be good value at this point. Compare that to what Orlando got for another good, not great, player in Arron Affalo and Hinkie looks like a genius.

After watching just a little bit of his summer league tape you can already see how he's worked on his body and his game, particularly the mid range shot. Could turn out to be a huge steal..

Personally, even if it's just a straight trade (Bennett for Young), I like it. Bennett is much younger and fits better with what Sammy is trying to do for the future. Thad has been great for this team, but it's time for him to move on. I just wish he was going to a better team.

Thad was leaving after this season. He's probably leaving Minny after the season. The fact that you can get anything of value for him with teams knowing that is huge.

I said it before, and I'll say it again…getting anything of value for Thad is very good.

Everyone knew he was opting out after the season. I would have loved to take a flier on Bennett, but a 1st rounder works for me as well. Miami won't be an elite team this year, and if Wade and/or Bosh miss significant time, they could be pretty bad.

Shved does nothing for me, but I like the Luc Mbah a Moute pickup. He's Joel Embiid's mentor and helped bring him to America, so that will bode well for helping Embiid adjust to life as a NBA player.

Agree with all of this... Got miami's pick which could actually end up being maybe a top 20 pick... Shved blows... But mbah a moute will be in the rotation for sure..

...I don't mind it. Supposedly Bennett got in much better shape in the off season and really looked good in the summer leagues.
