Heard a lot in training camp about how they were lining Shady and Sproles up in the backfield together and sending them both out for passes, and that it was unstoppable. They scored a TD against the Stillers on a play with these two on the field together.
Where has this offensive set been? I don't really remember seeing them on the field together at all. You're telling me that Sproles and Shady in there together on the goal line wouldn't have given the Niners something to think about?
On the last drive, when they needed big yards in a hurry, they sent Sproles out on a flare to the flat. He got tackled for a loss. Bad play there, but if they run that play on the goal line, with the Niners geared up to stop the run, Sproles is in space in a one on one matchup most likely.
