  • Jason Peters doesn't sound like he is sticking up for Evan Mathis

“Not really,” Peters said. “I’ve been playing beside different guys every year. So it don’t really matter who beside me, I just need to get the chemistry with them.”

It's a bit spinny, but it makes sense. Peters needs to keep in line. You know...culture and all.

FWIW, Mathis needs to just show up and prove his worth again. He had his chance at a nice payday, and he blew the opportunity.

All he said is what McNabb said about Owen's being hurt for the playoffs.

We can still win with the other guys.

They left out some quotes. I get the impression that Peters is kind of annoyed with the holdout.

"That's his own mindset. There ain't nothing you can do with a guy like that, trying to get more money or whatever he's trying to do. I'm just kind of here to do my job, and everything else will take care of itself."

"We've got a group of guys out there that have put in the work, been here since April," said Peters. "Right now, Al Barbre is the starter. Don't know if Evan shows up, he'll get his spot back. Don't know. It's all about what the coaches do."
