It's barely tolerable these days, with everybody sharing political crap (in between posts about missing pets). There is no discourse, only grandstanding. And very little original content. It's much easier to constantly "share" and "like" than to actually form a middle of the road opinion.Comment

OMG, I reconnected with this old friend from.....
...the neighborhood who had moved out to California some years ago. Anyway, the guy is like SUPER DUPER Republican conservative a$$hole right now. Has ZERO respect for anyone else's opinion. You know the type. His whole Facenutz page was political sh*t. One of the reasons I deleted my account. The main reason though (and I might have told you this story) was my wife and I were in Riviera Maya at this beautiful couple's only resort and we go to have afternoon coffee and some snacks and we see a bunch of people at the open user computers ON THEIR Facenutz!!! We were like, "What the f*ck is WRONG with these people??" Go scuba diving. Go repel into a cenote. Go make love in the room! You paid all of this money to be at this beautiful place and you're on your Facenutz???????????? We came back home and deleted our accounts immediately. True story.Comment

For what it's worth, while Mrs. Birder and I were vacationing in Montego Bay, we were relaxing in the room (the down time between the other down times), and posting pictures and such. My son, bless his heart, responded with (and I quote verbatim): "Put the phone away." Touche.Comment
