Why not use a later round on him (saw this in a Kempski mock draft)? Big arm, athletic. He was benched this season but all he did was go 10-0 as a starter with a national championship. Is it inconceivable that he could be better than Lynch? I don't thinks so.

....if he had a good position coach he could be a real find.

Hell, you could convert him to TE if he doesn't pan out at QB.

I'm just not blown away by any of the qb's. Feel like he has just as good a chance to pan out as any of them and you can get him late (r).

We have enough retired QBs on staff...

...I'm sure of them could fill in for few weeks if the rook didn't pan out.

The Ohio State quarterback I want isn't playing quarterback anymore.

Good question, would like to hear Big Homie in Ohio's opinion.
500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.

Eh, why? Russell never won anything. Jones's first three starts were Big 10 championship, national semi final and national championship. He just wasn't a spread qb.

I feel like he's more than worth taking a flyer on, but honestly, I don't think he's gonna be there in the later rounds. I think he's gonna go in rounds 2 or 3. 6-5, 250, and an absolute cannon for an arm. He's got a national title under his belt that HE led Ohio State to. NFL teams aren't gonna let him sit there too long. If someone gets really jumpy, he could go late first round, and don't let him have a really good combine. You KNOW he'll go late first then.

No way he goes in the 1st. Nobody has him rated higher than 5th best qb. I bet he'll be there in the 3rd.
