I didn't know this but apparently he was taken off a plane recently due to a serious medical condition.

I'll always remember him for that legendary super bowl half time show with his guitar. Fuggin epic.

                Agreed. A huge loss.

Apparently he had been ill for a while. He recently made a comment about how he couldn't play guitar anymore. It is believed that this piece of gossip was in reference to him:

Glad I got to see him perform live. RIP

Absolutely a monster talent. Rock, pop, funk, you name it, he mastered it. There was nobody like him.

This blows, one of the most talented musicians ever. Saw him at coachella a few years ago, amazing.

Him, Phife, and Bowie. Jesus Christ what a terrible year.

His remake of Kiss is one of my favorite songs.

So many amazing songs. Guy was as talented as they come. He could do it all. Amazing guitar player and vocalist.

1999 was one of the biggest albums of my youth, no question. A Classic.

Sucks he's not really on Spotify. Id love to fire him up right now.

He hated the concept of streaming. Apple Music doesn't have anything either.

I imagine that will change in short order now. For whoever the executor of his estate is, the money is going to be too much to turn down.

His performance of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" with the Traveling Wilburies and Dhani Harrison at George's HOF induction is one of the best things I've ever watched (I don't know how to embed it or I would). His guitar solo gives me chills. I think he was an underrated guitarist.
