My wife pointed out to me that with the track near the rail so muddy the leaders were running out off the rail. Rich Strike’s jockey had the guts to run on the mud and had the straight shot on the rail once he made his terrific move around Crown Pride. The horse and the jockey were a muddy mess after the race.
