Gets a lot of criticism (I have been from time to time) but it really remarkable how he changed the culture of this organization. Watching the annual Phillies collapse highlights how the DNA of a franchise is a really hard thing to change. It is a really subtle process but the Eagles have done everything possible to improve the on field variables like training facilities, scouting, analytics and expectations. The Phillies focus on the fan experience with their mascot, promotions and scoreboards. The fall behind investments in scouting, talent development and try to spend their way out of what this has caused. They are the sports all time loser and have operated that way.
