Some caller on WIP referred to PG as "a Gucci version of Tobias Harris." He did not mean it in a flattering way.

Its a significant upgrade. The Sixers got a guy that is much better than Harris on the offensive and defensive end, a 9 time allstar, and they didn't have to give up any players or draft capital. The downside is he's 34, has an injury history, has had dreadful playoff performances, and the back end of the contract will almost certainly be an overpay. Boston is still better and has everyone locked up that help them win this year.

In my opinion, yes. He is a much better third option than Tobias Harris. Getting past Boston will still be tough but they now have someone who won't disappear in the postseason.
