Hell of a lot of hubris in the Eagles front office

… by publishing their interactions in the draft war room. No wonder they can’t find trade partners.

In this past draft, it appears they were too busy sniffing their own SB farts to realize that teams knew of their historic pattern of drafting top 30 visits. If I knew about it for the last 3 years, it’s not hard to imagine other teams catching on.

No need for the arrogance. If not for a Jalen Carter sack, there is no SB.

Jihaad Campbell didn't have a top 30 visit with the Eagles.

I should clarify Top 30 plus local visits.

Reluctantly, I’ll assume they are being truthful about wanting Jaheed all along, but trying to trade up to 22 is where they had options of taking several top 30 visits. Pierce, Starks, William Simmons (and maybe Jackson was a top 30) were all taken between 22 and 32.

Advertising players you are interested in isn’t savvy, IMO. For whatever reason the Rams seem to be more secretive of their interests. The Rams tend to be tight lipped and some players may leak out, but most publications seem to have a hard time producing top 30 for the Rams.

In Greek mythology, those guilty of hubris were visited by the Goddess Nemesis who clouded their judgment and they had sorrows. Are you the Goddess Nemesis?

And maybe, knowing that other teams are watching their top 30 visits, they throw some tomato cans in there to put the other teams off the scent. Which is another Greek myth...

Campbell didn't have one of those either.

Perhaps the Rams should have had a top 30 visit with an OL who could have stopped Jalen Carter. A guy the Eagles traded up for. Just as they did for Campbell. With the team they beat in the Super Bowl, in which a player they traded up for, with a division rival, had a pick-six.

They also traded back like 4 times in the draft. But no, they can't find trade partners.

Despite rival teams grabbing an unusual amount of top 30 visits ahead of the Eagles in the first 3 rounds, maybe I stand corrected.

The Eagles may have known teams were aware of their tendencies with visits prior to this draft.

Trading back? Trade partners typical find them in that circumstance. They couldn’t find someone to trade up. Yeah, KC.
