          I've been busy at work the last two weeks and haven't been paying attention to the news, just saw that Sylvester Stewart died last week too. Damn, Sly was totally the real thing, the sound track of my childhood, for sure. RIP too.

            Sly Stone was amazing. He lived a long life considering his lifestyle. I have a DVD recording of him on the Dick Cavett show and man was he lit up. It was one time Cavett was completely flummoxed by an interviewee on his show.

              I said something to Spine when Sly passed,,,we both didn't get to see the Sly guy,,,but what an influence he had on all the music of the 70's and early 80's/

                I loved that clip from the Cavett show. Hilarious. What I remember was how Sly used to play entire sets facing the back riser of the stage, his back to the audience.
