  • Did anyone in the media ask Doug

Why he was doing hurry up at the 2 min warning? Watching the aints is bringing back my anger of that dumb move.

Cataldi asked Doug if he thought about waiting until the 2 minute warning and Doug's response was:
"Why?" He said they felt like the D was on their heels, the crowd had been taken out of it some and they had time to run one more play.

Personally I think Doug went WWAD (What Would Andy Do)

Because if he waited for the 2 minute warning, there would have been a break, and the crowd would have been a frenzy when they ran the next play.

Worst logic ever. That’s some real galaxy brain thinking right there

Rams doing hurry up and running in for td is what I thought Doug was doing in hurry-up. Defense was unprepared.

It's what he said in his press conference. Not sure I agree with it, but I understand it

Go back and watch the play again...

Apart from the ball going right through Jeffrey's hands (which he will catch 99 times out of a 100), what exactly was wrong with that play? They caught the Aints off guard and should have had an easy 1st to go into the last two miutes. Now, IF the play was a screw up that was not executed correctly you would have a case, but it was just a rare drop by Alshon.

Problem is you want to waste as much time as possible and waste aints timeouts. Best case scenario on that play is a td that gives ball back with 2 mins.

You call a time out there every time. Plenty of time. Perfect field position.
