the best play in Eagles history?

IMO, IF THE EAGLES DESIGNED THE PLAY AND NO ONE EVER USED IT THEN YES.

No doubt. I was on the Iggles site and saw something about the 100th season campaign... 100 best plays in history. Made me stop to think of the Philly Special!

Throwing home to Chooch to get the out instead of taking the ez play to first in the World Series.

                Best defensive...the strip-sack!

Tough to choose between Philly Special and the strip-sack for the best-ever imo.

It's a fun question. I remember when it happened, I was at a party with a mixture of fans and I was yelling for everyone to shut the fuck up and just before they lined up, I commented to a friend that I loved the aggressiveness against the evil empire.

Then bam, when BDN caught one in the endzone, I just sat there, befuddled by what we all witnessed.

The strip sack was more relief than that. It went from, "alright, all we gotta do is stop the best of all time on one drive" to "omg, did we just knock that fucker on his ass...we got the ball?!?!"

                    Yup.

The thing was, after the strip-sack celebration...we all realized that NE could still get the ball back! Truly couldn't exhale until the clock hit zero that night.

When a play is in a game that wins it all, it gets more consideration.

If the Eagles had gone on to win the Super Bowl the year 4th and 26 happened, that would be in the argument.

So would a shitload of other dramatic game changing/winning plays in non-championship-winning games.
