    Cannot even begin to imagine what those guys were thinking on that ride to the beach in those Higgins boats.

    My father in law jumped into that shit (he was 92nd Airborne), and I once had a brief discussion with him about how he felt going in. He said that after so much training and so many simulation runs, they were mentally primed and ready to the point where there was absolutely no questioning anything. They just wanted to go.

        MY GRANDPOP, WHO WAS A TOTAL GENTLEMAN AND A GENTLE MAN, WAS WITH PATTON ALL THROUGH AFRICA, ITALY, GERMANY.
        AMAZING MAN, AMAZING STORIES. SETTLED IN TO GROW APPLES ON 40 ACRES.

        DIED AT 93 YEARS OF AGE.

        THIS WAS A GREAT MAN.

            HE BROUGHT HOME A SWORD WITH THAT F'D UP NAZI SYMBOL ON IT. TOOK IT FROM AN OFFICER HE KILLED IN COMBAT AFTER THEY WIPED EVERYBODY OUT.
