Not a huge fan but Born to Run was an amazing album in its day. Still is actually.

Songs about blue collar middle class life.
        It always worked for me.

This episode of Cold Case went well with his music.

Agree with this. Not a big fan either.

Many people say you have to see him in concert to really appreciate his appeal. I tend to agree.

I saw him perform live one time at the old Brendan Byrne arena in NJ. The person I was sharing an apartment with was working for Sony/CBS at the time and gave me free tix. It was a pretty good show but I never went to see him again.

P.S. I lived in Belmar NJ for a while which helps me relate to some of the stuff he sings about.

Other than that the Bruce Worship crowd is sickening. Kind of like the Seinfeld Worship crowd.

His first three albums (Asbury Park, East Street Shuffle, Born to Run) were basically musical poetry, portraying life from a unique perspective. Eventually he drifted into the vicious cycle of pop music, writing circular, repetitive tunes with very little emotional appeal. Catchy, but fairly innocuous.
