  • Confidential to Slizz re: video.

Are you still in the video production biz?

If so, may I ask what software are you using and if you have any recommendations?

Here's my application. I have two HDV 1080p cameras taking pictures of something from different angles. I want to merge these two videos into a synchronized side by side video at 1080p resolution, basically taking the central part of each source video on the each of the two sides of the split screen video.

I have done this using Adobe Premiere. Syncing the videos was easy using a clapper. Getting the split screen was fairly easy but a bit more difficult to get the view of interest for each screen.

I need to pawn these jobs off to other people so I am looking for a somewhat idiot proof method to do this... like something I can write down as a generic procedure to train people with.

Is Premiere the best tool to use for something like this or is there something more simple?

Not Slizz and I'm an after effects junkie. But had a recent brief asking for something similar. Started with this tutorial and ran wild. https://youtu.be/Jf8FaRS9Qtw

    Good Luck.

I’d use Premiere. I’m a big fan of AE, too, but I think you’d have an easier time with Premiere. Are you using Creative Cloud? I’ll make a template you can follow.

Edit: sorry, ID, meant to respond to IE.

I have some footage of 3I’s mom with a donkey in Brazil and two llama’s in Chile.

I need to lay down some “boom-chickie-chickie-wow-wow” porn music. Any suggestion is appreciated.

Thanks, Slizz. Anything you could provide is appreciated. I did it in CS6 but since we will be doing a lot of this kind of work we plan on moving to CC.

Ha HA! Your mom loves Clinton's Dix.
500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.

In Chile, they called your mom Ceviche because I was serving her up like a national dish.

I’ll make you two versions. I’ll try to make it compatible with 6.
