although best known for his TV work, the guy was a great print journalist. His written reviews were awesome.

Not to mention he wrote the screenplay for Beyond the Valley of the Dolls.

                  Ebert

My wife and I use his movie scoring (and well as James Berardinelli's) to determine whether we will spend our time watching a movie.

My favorite Ebert quote. "No good movie is too long and no bad movie is short enough."

                  Two thumbs up for Roger.
