The MNF on opening weekend isn't really a premiere game- the Thursday opener is and so are the national games early and late and the SNF game so this one rates number 5 on the list and includes 2 large and rabid east coast fan bases

Divisional games are usually close and will hold an audience longer

After the schedule comes out, see if you can find 5-6 "good" match-ups every week. You can't. And neither can the networks- which is part of why they voted to flex games at the end of the season

That's also why I laugh at folks who want an 18 game season- they always forget that means more Jville, browns,bucs, cards,bengals,raiders too

The good teams play 17-18 already, its called the playoffs
