  • 6 UDFAS signed already

    Damion Square, DE, Alabama
The 6-foot-2, 293-pound former Crimson Tide lineman moved around on the D-line, from end to tackle. He tore his ACL in the second game of the 2009 season but started six times in 2010 before becoming a full-time starter in 2011. This past season, Square started 13 games for the BCS champions. He made 33 tackles, four of them for loss, and also racked up 3.5 sacks.

    Brad Wing, LSU, punter
Considered the draft’s top-rated punter, Wing’s career at LSU was marred by a bowl-game suspension for violating team rules. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound prospect won the job as a redshirt sophomore and started the past 24 games for LSU.

    Russell Sheppard, WR/RS, LSU
Sheppard (6-0, 196) clocked two 40-yard dashes of 4.46 at his Pro Day, along with recording a 38 1/2-inch vertical. He worked as a wide receiver and defensive back at the Pro Day and some scouts feel he fits better on defense.

    Miguel Maysonet, RB, Stony Brook
He’s short (5-9, 209) but compact. Maysonet first started at Hofstra, which dropped its football program in 2009 after he led the team with 385 rushing yards and three touchdowns. As a senior at Stony Brook, he rushed for 1,965 yards and 15 touchdowns on 267 carries.

    Kyle Quinn, C, Arizona
Quinn (6-4, 297) was named All-Pac 12 honorable mention and added some pounds after the season to get closer to 300. He was a two-year starter for the Wildcats, who ran a spread offense and used a zone-blocking scheme.

    Isaac Remington, DL, Oregon
Remington (6-6, 298), a defensive tackle for Chip Kelly, was suspended indefinitely for his senior season after he was cited for driving under the influence in October. He was reinstated about two weeks later after charges were dropped. He later made Pac-12 honorable mention.

    Jacob Knott, ILB, Iowa St.
Knott (6-2. 243) earned second-team All-Big 12 pick as a junior after recording 115 tackles, two interceptions and four forced fumbles. He missed the last four games of his senior season after undergoing shoulder surgery but still earned first-team conference honors after totaling 79 tackles, five breakups and two picks.

    Matthew Toban, G, Iowa
Toba (6-6, 303) was an All-Big Ten honorable mention after starting all 12 games for the Hawkeyes this past season and 21 for his career. He started the first seven games of last season at left guard before moving to left tackle for the final four.

    Matthew Tucker, RB, TCU
A versatile halfback. the 6-foot, 221-pound prospect rushed for 515 yards and six touchdowns on 118 carries as a senior. He had a better junior season, rushing for 702 yards and 12 touchdowns on 123 carries. He has 262 career receiving yards on 22 catches.

I know Russell Sheppard personally. My nephew on the LSU team and Sheppard visited me a few yrs ago when I was living in Houston. I hope he makes it.
