  • Looks like what Chip used for his base

at Oregon will be what hes using mostly here. Similar to the Pats spread offense. One running back == either 3 wrs and TE or 2 wrs and two TE.

The offense asks the qb to quickly read the routes and progress through them and make a throw, the decision has to be quick (not a Vick trait). I dont think Chip wants to run his qb in the NFL. So the qbs on this team right now do you think will do the best job of running that offense.

Foles, Barkley or Vick. -- Without question that will be Foles. followed most likely by Barkley then Vick.

3.5 mill is all thats guranteed to Vick -- My guess Vick ejected or traded (unlikely) before the season starts.

I think they figured 3.5 mill wasnt much to keep him around for insurance and possible trade.

I keep seeing Vick referred to as insurance by people who think he sucks. Makes no sense. Trent Edwards could have been that kind of insurance. Kelly must think he can run the offense.

Unless he's injured I think it's Vicks job. When he goes down during the season and he will He'll lose his job and his career will come to an end with the Eagles.

Barkley was picked because of where they had him on their draft board. After Friday night they saw a chance to go up and grab him and did just that. There is no way we can even claim to know what Kelly is going to do. I do not think Kelly even knows until the pads are on.

I think Kelly had no idea at all what he was walking into. Not in the sense that he failed think about it but that he's never coached against this team or seen any of these players up close. He's taking the job sight unseen.

Vick gives Kelly the polar opposite skill set from Foles or just about anybody else you can add to the roster outside of guys like RG3 and Kaepernick. He's fast and he's got a cannon for an arm. If Kelly could come in and see if he fits, there's no harm in it.

I was surprised they kept Vick, but mostly because I didn't think he'd agree to restructure.

But taking Barkley is definitely an indication Kelly doesn't really need a mobile guy to do what he wants to do. Or at least he thinks he doesn't.

Foles should be happy they took Barkley. If they took Matt Scott he should've been worried.
