I didn't really like the movie but I absolutely loved the book.

The book is almost always better.

I thought the perfectly represented Cockroach fans with the character that made the bet with Bobby D.

He was a Dallas diehard at the start, then when the bet was going on he had Giants shit on. Typical Cockroach fan switching allegiances for convenience.
