I just see this going the other way.

        You're not the only one.

Charles Ramsey, the man who helped rescue three Cleveland women presumed dead after going missing a decade ago, has become an instant Internet meme....

Although for me, I didn't care for the other videos the author mentions. Charles Ramsey is different.

a joke? this guy is my fucking hero! he's everything that's right in the country today.

hard working dude, outgoing, funny as shit, brave, and not looking for anything out of life but having fun, grilling out with the neighbors, and putting in an honest day's work.

his reaction to anderson cooper saying there was an award shows his true character. this guy is the MACK.

He'll do fine. Cleveland police might be a different story

There are multiple reports that they were called several times and either did nothing or showed up, did a cursory look and left. It defies logic that no neighbors saw nothing worthy of a police investigation over the 10 year period.

can't really blame the neighbors on this one

From most of the accounts that I've seen, the guy led a normal (sans the kidnapping part) life. had a job, went to work everyday. He wasn't some kind of hermit that never left, he spoke to his neighbors, and of course, even barbequed with them. Not really a glaring sign that he was some sicko kidnapper/rapist.

especially about the media going for the most over the top, outlandish interviewees they can find.

Police in that town in Kansas as well.

WTF? Kids figure out something is wrong but the cops slough it off to trash? THEN the kids return and FIND the body and the cops finally figure it out.

John Erlichman, one of President Richard Nixon's closest aides, has admitted America's "War on Drugs" was a hoax designed to vilify and disrupt "the antiwar left and black people" when it was launched in 1971.

If those reports are true, then I have to believe that the neighborhood itself played a part in it. The west side of Cleveland is poor to middle class. had this happened in Beachwood or Pepper Pike, very affluent areas, I believe the police response would have been swifter.

500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.
