Papelbon seems to be getting the job done more than he did last season.

He's, frankly, been a little shaky lately, to the extent he didn't dominate and blow batters away ... but he's made pitches when he's had to.

I'd love it if he had a reliable offspeed pitch to get people out with when he gets ahead in the count with his fastball.

He scares the shit out of me sometimes when he throws fastballs five-six pitches in a row.

He's been doing that for years. When I lived in Boston, I probably watched 50ish Sox games a year and paps always thinks he can blow people by with a fast pitch...once it leaves him, he's done

Rivera throws nothing but different cutters (so did Halladay when he was on)
