No announcement yet.

One thing that I would suggest, is not setting the win/loss bar too high, Maniac.

If Smith didn't get hurt, Kap would still be the 2nd string QB. If you have a point with this....please just make it because I don't know get it.

Well, my real point is that you're a moron. My point itt is that, as terp suggested, vick being a stop gap qb isn't a bad thing. didn't harbaugh have identified kap asap?

Calling me a moron and coming up with this SF scenario which you messed up is pretty weak. Anyway, promoting Vick as a stop gap is beyond absurd.

I'm treating this season like the 2am dating scene at college: Make sure you set the absolute lowest expectations possible and be thrilled with any 'fuck it, why not?' (aka a 'win') you can get.

Kaepernick was going to become starting QB of that team sooner rather than later. Smith's injury just happened expedite the process. Unless Smith won them a championship last year I find it very hard to believe he wouldn't have been traded this off-season anyway.

Vick is a relatively inexpensive veteran on a team going through a complete overhaul. Unless he blows the doors off the competition and the Eagles really over-achieve this year, he'll serve the purpose as a serviceable QB while:

            a) Foles/Barkley get some experience during a rebuilding phase and/or
            b) Kelly goes and gets the QB he really wants.

                  Barkley is the one

I think he will be the franchise QB once it's said and done.
