If the Phillies are going to blow things up...

is RAJ the guy you want doing it? I'd almost prefer that they wait until the season is over and a new guy is in place that can judge talent.

Revere might end up hitting in the .280 range for the season, but watching him throw from the outfield reminds me of that VW commercial.
John Erlichman, one of President Richard Nixon's closest aides, has admitted America's "War on Drugs" was a hoax designed to vilify and disrupt "the antiwar left and black people" when it was launched in 1971.

                He probably will hit .280

... and he'll still struggle to get his OBP over .300.

                (and I'm only slightly exaggerating.)

I missed today's game. But I don't doubt it. Why isn't Mayberry just playing CF? He can't be that much worse at the plate can he?

Putting Ben Revere in this thread is silly.

Delmon Young can't get to the ball and can't catch it when he does.

He said he has a "spring" in his glove that ejected the ball, when asked why he didn't make a catch today.

that the outfield is in pretty bad shape. Revere's throw was horrendous, like 20 feet to the right of the plate.

Delmon Young is just a train wreck. He had one in one of the Boston games that he let hit the wall that couldn't have been a foot over his head. It bounced off the wall and hit him in the side.

Delmon Young is not in the same universe as Ben Revere ... notwithstanding a bad throw.

Revere doesn't have a strong arm, but I don't see him chronically off-target ... whereas Young runs like he has a load in his pants, has horrible judgement, and a routine catch is an adventure.

Revere suck and isn't the answer.

I am praying they make a deal to get Bradley from the Sox. The Phillies wouldn't sign Ben Revere, Bradley becomes the starting CF in 2014.
