Give it a rest dude. I know your all about giving the contrarian view on everything I say, but this is ridiculous. I mean McNabb is going to criticize a guy because his father is getting involved on football matters? Not that I think his father should be involved but to have a mamas boy like Mcnabb tell someone to tell his parents to butt out? That's like Lindros telling someone to tell their parents to stay out of team business.

If there is any former player though that can offer advice to RG3, it's probably Donovan McNabb. He played under a bright spotlight and dealt with various criticisms and situations that RG3 is dealing with. He's probably learned from both the successes and mistakes he made.

And while McNabb had a strong public relationship with this family, I don't recall them telling the Eagles how to utilized McNabb's talents. If I'm wrong on that, let me know. The biggest issue I remember was his mom's "bittersweet" comment which while understandable probably shouldn't have been public.

And I give a contrarian view on what you say when I think you're wrong or ridiculous. It's not my fault that it's more often the case than not. You complain about players for all different reasons, especially when you think they're acting immaturely. Meanwhile, a former player is offering to instill some experience-based knowledge on a young star and you're complaining about that too.

I giving McNabb a hard time becuause he has no business getting involved in everyone's business. I guess I missed the part where Griffin called McNabb to ask for his words of wisdom. It tells you something when McNabb calls a player and that player doesn't return his call. Now poor Donovan got his feelings hurt and wants to offer more advice. How about Donvan sits back and waits to see if he can help intsead of always getting in someon'e business. I get the feeling that not many people care for McNabb and Griffin not returning his call solodifies that feeling. I think McNabb is very insecure about himself and feels that he has to be everyone's best friend. It just gets annoying after a while.

I guess I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt in that he sees that Griffin is possibly getting in over his head and is offering to help.

I don't disagree with you about McNabb being insecure and still wanting to be relevant. I'm sure that's a part of it too.

The NFL and Redskins fans are putting tons of pressure on the kid, I agree 100%. But I think he has handled it pretty well for being such a young kid. The last person I want to take advice from is a guy like 5 who still hasn't forgotten about being booed at the draft 14 years ago. The guy holds way too many grudges which is not healthy. Especially in sports where you need to let things roll off your back.

McNabb needs to get lost and stop trying to make everything about himself. Obviously Griffin doesn't want his advice and honestly no one gives a flying f*ck what he thinks anymore. He needs to get over himself and just be an analyst instead of feeling the need to offer up his sage advice every 5 seconds...
